Continuation of Benefits
Medical Treatment
Applicant should be a beneficiary of a Basic Pension (Basic Retirement Pension, Widow’s Basic Pension, Invalid’s Basic Pensions or Basic Orphans Pension)
- An Application Form to be submitted, prior to the departure of the applicant; or not later than 3 months after the date the beneficiary returns to Mauritius.
- A medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner certifying the nature of illness of the beneficiary, the medical treatment to be undergone by the beneficiary and the approximate duration of the treatment; or
A medical certificate from the health institution abroad that the beneficiary will undergo, or has undergone, medical treatment and the duration of the treatment.
3. A copy of National Identity Card (NIC)
4. A copy of Passport details (both local and foreign)
Application may be registered at the Social Security Office nearest to the applicant’s locality.
