Continuation of Benefits
One off Stay Abroad
Stay abroad should exceed six consecutive months but not more than twelve consecutive months.
Applicant should be a beneficiary of Basic Retirement Pension.
- A copy of National Identity Card (NIC)
- A copy of Passport details (both local and foreign)
Application may be registered at the Social Security Office nearest to the applicant’s locality.
For beneficiaries who are abroad, application may be submitted to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
Application should be made:
- one month prior to the departure of the beneficiary;
- not later than 6 months after the departure of the beneficiary for the continuation of his benefit; or
- not later than 3 months after the date the beneficiary returns to Mauritius for payment of arrears of his benefit.
