Disablement Benefit (DB)
Payable to an employee or self-employed who has suffered an industrial injury resulting in a disablement.
- Where the disablement is 100%, the Disablement Benefit would be equal to 80% of the monthly earnings of the employee or self-employed.
- Where the disablement is less than 100%,the DB would be equal to65% of the monthly earnings of the employee or self-employed, multiplied by the percentage (%) of his disablement.
- The employee or self-employed may elect to receive a lump sum payment in lieu of a monthly Disablement Benefit- (Conditions apply)
- Birth Certificate.
- National Identity Card.
- Medical Certificates/Evidence; and
- Bank Name and Bank Account Number.In the case of a joint account, the National Identity Card(s) of Joint account holder(s) should be produced.
Application may be registered at the Social Security Office nearest to the applicant’s locality.
