  1. (a). SRB is payable to every citizen residing in Mauritius provided that he has\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (i) reached retirement age (65) and<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (ii) resided in Mauritius for at least 12 years in aggregate since his eighteenth birthday.<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(b). Where the beneficiary is absent from Mauritius for a continuous period not exceeding 6 months in any period of 12 consecutive months, he shall continue to be entitled to the retirement benefit.<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2. Exceeding 6 months in any period of 12 consecutive months, he shall be entitled to the retirement benefit provided he has \u2013
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(i) reached retirement age;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(ii) resided in Mauritius for at least 12 years in aggregate since his eighteenth birthday; and
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(iii) paid the social contribution for a period of at least half the number of years between 1 September 2020 and the date of making the application for the benefit.<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 3. Payable to a non-citizen residing in Mauritius provided that he has
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (i) reached retirement age;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (ii) resided in Mauritius for at least 12 years in aggregate since his eighteenth birthday;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(iii) paid the social contribution for a period of at least half the number of years between 01September 2020 and the date of making the application for the benefit.<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a04. Payable also to a person aged 60 or above provided that he
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(i) is employed in a specified sector as defined in the fourth schedule to the SCSB Act 2021;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (ii) has opted to retire before attaining the age of 65;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (iii) has resided in Mauritius for at least 12 years in aggregate since his 18th birthday;
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (iv) is not in employment whilst deriving the retirement benefit; and
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (v) has been employed in the specified sector for at least 10 consecutive years at the time of retirement.<\/p>

    NOTE: Other eligibility criteria in respect of deferment of retirement benefit and payment of lumpsum.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    5. Passports (both Mauritian and foreign)<\/li>
